Armor-IT's Testing Methods:

As Armor-IT was developing this site we decided to test RoboForm as it seemed appropriate.  With more than 100 sets of credentials involved in our day to day operations.  Most needed for normal work, logging into webservers, development sites, marketing sites and of course some o the ezines we've been featured in we quickly passed the 100 passwords mark.  We simply installed Roboform on the computer used for most of this work, Roboform2Go on my personal USB Flash and GoodSync for PC on the computer I'm using.  Each day I signed up for a few new sites, used Roboform to fill in the initial forms, select a random password and then at the end of the day Synced the PC to my USB Flash Drive.

I often work outside the office so whenever I left I would sync up then utilize Roboform where I was to continue working.

Results:

After first being surprised at how many passwords I would need to know I had started a journal.  Then it occured to me I shouldn't do this for security reasons.  This is when I decided to test and review RoboForm.  Frankly I have much stronger password in place now for our most sensitive logins thanks to the random password generator/.  I have a backup system between my USB Flash drive and my PC to ensure no single failure can knock me out and I have shaved at least 15 seconds off every login page I visit not to mention hours off filling in forms everyday.  Roboform has not let me down yet and has saved me at least 20 mins a day for more than a month which adds up to a lot more productive time.

Pros:

Saves time,
Saves risks invloved with keeping a password list in your desk or wallet
Easy to Use
Sync Feature combined with USB capability is great for road warriors
Safer way to use shared or public computers
Loads up in a snap on most computer without leaving any permanent footprints.

Cons:

Upsell marketing made it impossible to leave the site with what I wanted for less than $69.00
although I now feel it was well worth it.

How well did RoboForm deliver on it's Promises?

Exceptionally well, all promises kept or exceeded.  Roboform surprised me with a sync feature reminding me as I added sites to sync up whenever my flash drive was plugged in and I setup a new account.

Recommend and Rating:

Highly recommended for anyone who has trouble remembering passwords and logins, currently has a password log file in hard copy(wallet, desk, etc).  Defintely worthwhile for roadwarriors, even more so if you use public computers.
