A must have software for every technicians toolbox

Armor-IT's Testing Methods:
After installing this software on our HP D5200 workstation sporting a Q9400, 6GB DDR2 we had to do some digging. We fired up the ancient accounting workstation, created a backup of it's actual PST file then intentionally slammed auto replies back and fourth between it and our D5200. With the accounting station using Outlook 200 and the D5200 using Outlook 2007 we managed to force both significantly over the 2GB threshold before they started failing entirely. We processed both oversized PST files through
Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery
software to see what it would do.
Next we took 3 reference Pst files from a recovery that was in process and tested the software against a current professional grade software we employ in our facility($1200/station). All three of the Pst files tested had been recovered from a hard drive which had been restored and from which the Pst files had not been backed up. Do to the re-install of several peices of software and a few days of usage all three files were beyond repair using scanpst.exe.

Although our existing software managed to retrieve more than 98% of the emails, contacts and calendar entries and
Disk Doctors Outlook Mail Recovery fell a bit short getting only 96.5% of the same data from the damaged files, we have to point out that at only 12% of the price this product performed well beyond our expectations on such difficult pst files. As for the oversized files, both programs performed at 100% recovery. We will stick with our more expensive software for prviding professional recoveries but Disk Doctors has surely proven itself as an invaluable tool for most IT departments and Do-It-Yourself types who either want to try themselves or can not afford professional service rates.

Although we did not test every feature of the program to it's full potential, every part of the program we were able to test performed exceptionally well.
